Executive Director, Rabbi Matt Rosenberg

Rabbi Matt Rosenberg began his tenure as the second executive director of the Albert Einstein Residence Center in January 2021.  A California native, he is a graduate of Elk Grove High School and UC Davis. Rabbi Matt spent many years volunteering and working in the field of disaster relief for organizations such as the American Red Cross and Nechama: Jewish Response to Disaster. Following his ordination from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at the American Jewish University in Los Angeles, Rabbi Matt served as the executive director and campus rabbi for Hillel at Texas A&M University. He holds a masters degree in geography from CSU Northridge, spent 18 years operating the ThoughtCo.com website devoted to geography, is the author of two books about geography, and is adjunct faculty in geography at Sacramento State University and Cosumnes River College.
